Support

The fastest route is Send Feedback inside the app — it's in the menu beside the color row, and it attaches your version and device automatically, which usually saves a round trip. Otherwise, email [email protected].

Common questions

Where do saved backgrounds go?

Save to Photos puts a PNG in your photo library, ready to set as wallpaper. Save to Files writes the same image wherever you pick. On a Mac it's Save Image… and you choose the location.

What size should I export?

The default, This Screen, matches your device's exact pixel dimensions, so wallpaper drops in without cropping. The presets cover common iPhone, iPad, HD, 4K, and 5K sizes, and you can type any custom size up to 8192 pixels.

My gradient looks banded on a big screen.

Leave Reduce Banding switched on. It dithers the exported image, which hides the stair-stepping that appears when a wide gradient is squeezed into 256 shades per channel. It's on by default.

How do I add more than two colors?

Tap the dashed + in the color row at the top. Add as many as you like. Touch and hold a swatch to reorder, duplicate, or delete it.

Can I make part of the gradient transparent?

Yes. Each color has its own opacity slider, and Clear makes the selected color fully transparent. Exports are PNGs, so the transparency is preserved.

What are the gradient styles?

Linear runs along a straight line. Radial rings outward from a point you can drag. Angular sweeps around a point like a color wheel. Wavy bends a linear gradient into a wave, with depth and frequency you control.

Is there an Apple Watch or Android version?

No. Prismatic runs on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

What does the tip do?

Nothing, deliberately. Every feature is free and there are no ads. The tip exists only for people who want to support the app; it unlocks nothing and the app behaves identically either way. It's Leave a Tip in the same menu as Send Feedback.

I bought "Remove Ads" years ago.

There are no ads left to remove — they were taken out entirely in version 2.0, along with all tracking. Nothing to restore, and nothing further to pay.

Reporting a bug

Useful things to include: what you tapped, what you expected, and what happened instead. If it involves an exported image, the size and style you used helps. Sending from inside the app attaches your version and device model automatically.

Privacy
